Couples must register online no later than Tuesday, February 1, 2022 by visiting https://pinellasclerkvalentineswedding.eventbrite.com. Registration will be limited and on a first-come first-served basis. Couples wanting to make the most romantic day of the year extra special, with a wedding or vow renewal can now register for the Pinellas Clerk’s 16th Annual Valentine’s Day Wedding Ceremony. On Valentine’s Day, Monday, February 14, in the picturesque Florida Botanical Gardens, the Clerk will officiate up to thirty weddings and twenty vow renewals in a romantic and memorable group ceremony. Couples must register online no later than Tuesday, February 1, 2022 by visiting https://pinellasclerkvalentineswedding.eventbrite.com. Registration will be limited and on a first-come first-served basis. To be eligible to be married in the Valentine’s Day Wedding event, a couple must apply for a marriage license between December 16, 2021 and February 11, 2022, in order to have the license issued in time for the ceremony. The Clerk has waived the normal $30.00 ceremony fee. Standard marriage license fees will still apply. The Clerk’s office is proudly showcasing the community event complete with an eye-catching window display at the Downtown Clearwater Courthouse. Aimee Matsko and Shantel Griffin, owners of Bearer of the Bling Bridal in Kenneth City, volunteered to design and set up the Clerk’s window display once again this year. There will be two ceremonies: 1:30 p.m. for the wedding ceremony and 2:00 p.m. for the renewal of vows. The Clerk’s office will live stream the ceremony. Ceremonies will take place in the Wedding Garden of the Florida Botanical Gardens located at 12520 Ulmerton Road, Largo, FL 33774. Couples should arrive by 1:00 p.m. on Valentine’s Day with their marriage license and identification. Wedding photography packages may be purchased through the Eventbrite registration link and will be mailed to the couples after the ceremony. “This is the sixteenth year we will have the honor and privilege of sharing this special day with local and out-of-state couples getting married or renewing their vows” said Ken Burke, Pinellas County Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller. “We are so excited to be able to continue the tradition of holding our annual Valentine’s Day Group Wedding.” Couples will receive a special Commemorative Marriage Certificate, which will be mailed with the official Certificate of Marriage and photos (if purchased) within one week of the date of the ceremony. Slots are filling up quickly as over thirty couples have already reserved their place to take part in the annual tradition. Couples Tie the Knot During the Clerk’s Valentine’s Day Group Wedding Valentine’s Day may have started with some clouds and rain, but it quickly turned into a beautifully sunny day, just in time for the wedding at the Florida Botanical Gardens. During the Clerk’s 14th Annual Valentine’s Day Wedding event, 36 couples were married, and 13 couples renewed their wedding vows. Love was also in the air at the Clerk’s office locations as a total of 43 weddings were officiated at their North County Branch, St. Petersburg Branch, and Downtown Clearwater office.
