Pinellas Clerk's Office Announces Fourth Annual Halloween-Themed "Scare-amonies!"

Clearwater, FL- The Pinellas Clerk’s office is bringing frightful fun to the wedding aisle with the return of its fourth annual Halloween-themed “Scare-amonies!” The spooky celebrations will take place in the Halloween-themed Wedding Ceremony Room at the Clearwater Courthouse, 315 Court Street, Room 150, Clearwater, Florida 33756, from October 1 through October 31. Walk-ins are welcome. The themed room will be open weekdays, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m

Couples can say “I boo” surrounded by ghoulish décor and eerie elegance. Halloween Day is especially popular, so those hoping to wed on October 31 are encouraged to book ahead. Walk-ins are still welcome that day, but longer wait times are possible. Attendance has grown every year, and this year’s turnout is expected to be the biggest yet.

Couples are welcome to bring up to 10 guests and are encouraged to arrive in costume for their spooktacular ceremony. All participants must be positively identified before the ceremony, so no heavy makeup will be permitted before verification. Face masks are allowed if they can be removed for identification purposes.

“We are proud to provide wedding services year-round, and our Halloween-themed room offers a truly unforgettable experience,” said Ken Burke, Clerk of the Circuit Court.

To make the day even more memorable, the Clerk’s Office offers photographs for $10 and commemorative Halloween-themed wedding certificates for $5. A traditional wedding ceremony room will also remain available for couples who prefer a non-themed celebration.

A valid marriage license is always required before a ceremony. Licenses are valid for 60 days from issuance, and the ceremony must take place between the effective and expiration dates on the license. For information on obtaining a marriage license, completing the marriage application in advance, or other wedding-related services, contact Recording Services at (727) 464-4551

The next themed weddings offered by the Clerk's Office will be the Winter Wonderland ceremonies in December 2025, the group Valentine's Day ceremony and vow renewal in February 2026, and the Cosplay ceremonies and vow renewals in summer 2026.
