Court Hearings set to take place at the North County Branch on Thursday, September 14th, or Friday, September 15th, will be rescheduled. Parties will be notified via mail of the new hearing date. Courts in both Pasco and Pinellas Counties will reopen on Thursday, September 14th. If you had a hearing scheduled on September 13th, and you are represented by an attorney, contact your attorney after the court reopens to learn how and when your hearing will be rescheduled. If you do not have an attorney, check your written notice or subpoena and contact the person/office who sent the notice or subpoena to you. If you set the hearing and sent the notice yourself, contact the office of the judge, magistrate or hearing officer who is assigned to your case to ask how and when your hearing will be rescheduled. Courts are expected to reopen on Thursday, September 14th, but please continue to check the Sixth Judicial Circuit website for their latest updates. Jury service has been suspended for Thursday, September 14th and Friday, September 15th. Prospective jurors have been dismissed. Clerk's Office in Action - Hurricane Relief Efforts After Hurricane Harvey, Irma and Maria, the Pinellas Clerk's family led with their hearts and sprung into action to help those in need. Hundreds of cases of water, flashlights, batteries, non-perishables and clothes were donated. The office also raised $2,710.45 to help the communities recover from the devastation left by the hurricanes. Hurricane Eta - Office Closure Due to Hurricane Eta, all Clerk’s office locations will be closed on Thursday, November 12. The services below have been impacted. Updates to Guardianship Reporting Forms In an effort to provide more efficient customer service, the Clerk's Probate Court Records Department has monitored feedback and taken steps to improve the new reporting forms released last year. New Guardianship Forms Demo Set for Wednesday, December 7th The Sixth Judicial Circuit Court recently approved new Guardianship Reporting forms under Administrative Order No. 2009-036. Guardians and Guardianship Attorneys are expected to start using the new forms starting January 1, 2017. Clerk Burke Receives 2016 Presidential Award The Pinellas County Osteopathic Medical Society (PCOMS) awarded Ken Burke the 2016 Presidential Award for his outstanding leadership as the Pinellas County Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller.
