1 August Pinellas County Civil Sections 54 and 44 Set to Close August 1, 2018 By ClerkWeb News Archive Mortgage Foreclosure 0 Posted: March 14, 2017 Pinellas County Civil Sections 54 and 44 Set to Close Pursuant to Administrative Order 2017-019 PI-CIR, the Court is closing county civil Sections 54 (county section) and 44 (small claims section) effective April 13, 2017. Effective March 15, 2017, all cases in section 54 that are in an "open" or "reopened" posture will be assigned to sections 39 and 40, and all cases in section 44 that are in an "open" or "reopened" posture will be assigned to sections 45 and 46. Hearings that are currently scheduled between now and April 13, 2017, will remain scheduled in the current section. If you need to set, cancel or reschedule a hearing before April 13, 2017, please contact the office of the judge whose section the case is currently assigned. When a motion is filed that re-opens a case assigned to sections 54 or 44, the Clerk will assign the matter in accordance with the Administrative Order for the assignment of civil, family law, county civil and small claims divisions in Pinellas County. Related Articles Pinellas Circuit Civil Sections 8 and 21 – Closure and Reassignment Effective September 4, 2020, all open and re-opened cases assigned to Sections 8 and 21 were reassigned to new Sections pursuant to Administrative Order 2020-022. The judges currently assigned to Sections 8 and 21 will continue to schedule and hear open cases through December 31, 2020, even though the case has technically been reassigned.
