The event will take place at the Historic Pinellas County Courthouse located at 324 South Fort Harrison Avenue in Clearwater. Returning constitutional officers taking the oath of office during the ceremony are Bernie McCabe, State Attorney; Bob Dillinger, Public Defender; Ken Burke, Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller; and Deborah Clark, Supervisor of Elections. Mike Twitty, Property Appraiser, and Charles W. Thomas, Tax Collector, will take the oath of office for the first time. Constitutional officers provide critical services for the residents of Pinellas County. As established by the Florida Constitution, they are elected every four years to serve at the will of the people. Pinellas Clerk Permanently Closing Tyrone Branch Office On New Year’s Day 2019 Effective Tuesday, January 1, 2019, the Tyrone Branch Traffic Court and Tyrone Branch Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller’s office located at 1800 66th St. N., St. Petersburg, FL, will be permanently closed due to the Courts Consolidation Project.
