2 November Virtual Operation Green Light Event - Save Money on Collections Fees November 2, 2020 By News Archive Operation Green Light, Driver License, Reinstatement, Collection Fees, Virtual, Suspended 0 During the Clerk’s Virtual Operation Green Light Event, eligible Pinellas County customers with suspended driver licenses will be able to pay overdue court and traffic fines, while saving up to 25 percent on collections fees. This initiative aims to help thousands of individuals with Pinellas County cases looking to save on fees, inquire about a payment plan, and have their driver license reinstated. WHAT: Virtual Operation Green Light Event, Pinellas County Clerk of Courts, A Driver License Reinstatement Days Event WHERE: This is a Virtual Online Event ONLY WHEN: The Clerk’s Online Virtual Registration Portal will be available anytime starting Monday, November 9 through midnight on Saturday, November 14, 2020. Customers will be contacted 2-3 business days after registration to discuss eligibility and payment options. HOW: Register Online (during registration period shown above) Note: Customers with driver licenses suspended due to revocation for failure to pay child support, DUI, failure to complete a driver’s course ordered by the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV), traffic related felony, or deemed by FLHSMV as a habitual traffic offender may not be eligible to participate. While customers will save on collections fees, an administration fee of $25 is required for a payment plan, late fees must be paid, along with a reinstatement fee when applicable. Those who pay their debts, or go on a monthly payment plan, will also be able to reinstate their suspended driver license in most cases. Payment options will be addressed when contacted after registering. Veterans Stand Down Court Event Set for April 14th This community event provides supplies and services to homeless Veterans such as food, shelter, clothing, health screenings and VA Social Security benefits counseling. Veterans are encouraged to attend the event and have their cases reviewed to see if old fines and costs can be waived. Veterans who are being held back by longstanding court costs, fines, and even some minor warrants related to a municipal ordinance or inactive criminal cases in Pinellas County, are encouraged to attend the event and have their cases reviewed to see if those old fines and costs can be waived. Friday, February 1st is the last day couples can register for the Clerk’s 13th Annual Valentine’s Day Wedding Ceremony. Up to fifty couples are expected to get married or renew their vows on Thursday, February 14, 2019, in the romantic and picturesque Wedding Garden of the Florida Botanical Gardens in Largo.
