The Value Adjustment Board for Pinellas County, Florida, hereby gives notice that on March 11, 2020 commencing at 9:00 a.m., in the Clerk’s Large Conference Room, Fourth Floor, Pinellas County Courthouse, 315 Court Street, Clearwater, Florida, a meeting will be held to act upon the Special Magistrate recommendations for the 2019 tax year, to approve the Final Certification of the 2019 tax rolls, and to consider any and all other matters that may legally come before said Board.
Valentine’s Day may have started with some clouds and rain, but it quickly turned into a beautifully sunny day, just in time for the wedding at the Florida Botanical Gardens. During the Clerk’s 14th Annual Valentine’s Day Wedding event, 36 couples were married, and 13 couples renewed their wedding vows. Love was also in the air at the Clerk’s office locations as a total of 43 weddings were officiated at their North County Branch, St. Petersburg Branch, and Downtown Clearwater office.
The Pinellas County Veteran Stand Down Court Event provides supplies and services to veterans in need of food, shelter, clothing, health screenings, and VA Social Security benefits counseling. Veterans can also receive referrals to other assistance such as healthcare, housing solutions, employment, substance use treatment, and mental health counseling.
Due to a system upgrade with our provider, online payments and the FL Courts EFiling Portal will be unavailable on Saturday, February 8, 2020 from 11am - 8pm EST.

The Pinellas County Value Adjustment Board (VAB) hereby gives notice that on Friday, September 20, 2019 commencing at 9:00 A.M, in the Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller’s Large conference room, Fourth Floor, Pinellas County Courthouse, 315 Court Street, Clearwater, Florida, an orientation for all appointed VAB Special Magistrates will be held regarding local procedures for hearings, handling or consideration of petitions, evidence, worksheets, forms, and related software applications.

Due to planned system maintenance, the Efiling Portal and Comprehensive Case Information System (CCIS) search site, will be unavailable on Saturday, August 24th from 1:00 -2:00 pm. (EDT).
Another Jury Duty scam is victimizing citizens. The scammer claims to be from the Sheriff’s office and tells the citizen they will need to pay a penalty for missing Jury Service or get arrested.
Due to planned system maintenance, credit card payments and the Efiling Portal will be unavailable on Thursday, July 18th beginning at 5:30 p.m. (EDT). The estimated downtime is 1 hour.
The Pinellas County Value Adjustment Board (VAB) will hold their organizational meeting on Tuesday, July 23, 2019 beginning at 1:00 p.m., in the Clerk’s Large Conference Room located on the Fourth Floor of the Pinellas County Courthouse, 315 Court Street, Clearwater, Florida 33756. At this meeting, the members of the VAB will appoint Special Magistrates, approve local administrative procedures and decide any other matters brought before the Board.

It is the counsel’s responsibility to request the hard copy court file from the Clerk’s office that may be needed at trial at least ONE (1) WEEK IN ADVANCE.
Fraudulent phone calls are being reported where the caller claims to be calling from the Clerk’s office and wants to set up a location to meet to serve a subpoena. These calls are from con artists, as the Clerk does not serve subpoenas and will never call to set up a location to meet anyone.
Starting April 1, 2019, payments to the Pinellas County Sheriff for service of Writs of Possession can be made online. The Clerk will continue to accept checks and money orders made out to the Pinellas County Sheriff's office.
With continued diligence and commitment to maintaining the highest recognition among Florida’s Inspector General community, the Pinellas Clerk’s Division of Inspector General received its third accreditation by the Commission for Florida Law Enforcement Accreditation.

This community event provides supplies and services to homeless Veterans such as food, shelter, clothing, health screenings and VA Social Security benefits counseling. Veterans who are being held back by longstanding court costs, fines, and even some minor warrants related to a municipal ordinance or inactive criminal cases in Pinellas County, are encouraged to attend the event and have their cases reviewed to see if those old fines and costs can be waived.
